What to Expect
At Tequesta’s First Baptist, we know visiting a new church for the first time can be intimidating. We want to make sure you feel welcome, comfortable, and loved when you come visit us.
Here’s a few commonly-asked questions.
1. Who are we?
We are a church that loves Jesus, loves people, and loves our community. We are passionate about helping people have a growing relationship with Christ.
2. When and where?
We are located in the heart of Tequesta. For directions click here. Our Sunday Service begins at 10:45am.
3. What should I wear?
We encourage you to come as you are. Some people come wearing jeans or shorts, while some wear khakis and dresses. God sees our heart and that’s what He cares about; it’s not about the style of clothing we choose. Come as you are!
4. What should I expect on my first visit?
From the moment you first arrive, it’s our goal to make you feel at home. Someone from our Guest Services team will meet you in the parking lot with a smile and ready to answer any questions you might have. We have special VIP parking spots just for you that will get you close to our facility.
5. Speaking of kids, what is available for my kids?
We were hoping you would ask! We have a safe and fun environment for kids of all ages. Our Children’s Ministry services are tailored for children from infants to 5th grade. We also have a Mom-Infant room available so you can experience the service with your little one.
Our TFBC Students services include a live worship service and small group time for kids in middle school and high school that takes place on Sunday Night at 6pm.
6. What is the worship experience like?
Our experiences are meaningful, creative and spiritually engaging. Each experience kicks off with a time of live worship music – We mix contemporary worship songs with upbeat traditional hymns of the faith to achieve a great balance of worship styles
Then, our Pastor shares a biblically-centered message that’s always honest and challenging, empowering you to apply Jesus’ words to your daily life. We like to end our teaching time with a few minutes of prayer.
7. What do I do when I first arrive this weekend?
If you decide to visit us this weekend, please make sure to stop by the I’m New Welcome Center outside of our Worship Center. Simply let one of the volunteers know that it is your first time with us. We’d love to help you and your family get situated.
